TCR is a ceramic ring that shrinks when it is exposed to heat. The degree of shrinkage depends on the actual temperature in the kiln/furnace, the heat transfer method of the kiln/furnace, and the time it is exposed to the heat treatment, Total heat transferred to the ring is measured by means of conduction, convection and radiation, TCR takes into account all conditions that may occur in a kiln such as heat sinks, temperature gradients, gas flow, heat transfer coefficient, time, kiln setting, etc. Because of total heat measurement, the repeatability of the process and the quality of the product are assured.

The TCR can be put in any position in the kiln/furnace, such as on kiln car or slab or saggar, or just beside the product. When heat process finished, the diameter of TCR is measured by caliper, you can easily find out the temperature? under this diameter in Specific Temperature Table.. We offer Temperature Table for each batch of TCR. Pleas notice ?that the Batch No. on TCR should be the same as the Batch No. in Temperature Table.
